Injury Rehab

Come back stronger than before

The body wants to heal, if we give it the tools (sleep, breathing, movement, nutrition, getting strong in body and mind) and the time, it will heal and fast.  I take a whole body approach in injury rehab, we look at the whole body and your history to discover underlying causes rather than just treating the symptoms and focus on what is possible to achieve rather than how it may be limiting.  I want to get you back to doing what you want to do and in most cases stronger than before.

My approach is: never waste an injury
— Felicity

Typically my injury rehab clients will come from one of three different areas.

  1. They train and or compete in a specific sport and have sustained an injury/accident doing that sport (such as a ski accident or an ACL tear playing sport for example) or they have developed a chronic injury though months/years of moving through the same (sometimes inefficient) movement patterns.

  2. They are suffering from chronic pain and have tried many different therapies without much success.  They’ve been told they are “broken” or “fragile”, which I am here to help them realise they are not!

  3. They are experiencing pain or discomfort, such as sciatica, back pain or hip pain.  Most often the result of postural imbalances, the position of the bones will dictate the function of the muscles.  We’ll especially look at the pelvis and rib cage positioning, breathing patterns and feet which are typically the biggest players in how the body functions.

We’ll work together on the physical and mental side of healing an injury, often the mental side is the hardest part so we build strategies to help with both.  The body wants to heal, if you give it the tools anything is possible, there is no limiting beliefs in my approach and I am here to make you feel safe in the things we do.

My approach is ‘never waste an injury’. It’s happened, the best we can do is learn and understand all that we can from it and come back stronger and more resilient than ever.  Anything is possible with the right mindset and work ethic.
