I am currently running a weekly class,

Fortis - A strength class for body and mind - every Wednesday morning at 7:15am (UK time) for 45 minutes.

Pricing

Classes are £15 each or save money with a 1 month class package (4 classes to be used in 40 days) or a 3 month class package (12 classes to be used in 120 days).


What Are The Classes and Class Timings?

I’m currently running Fortis - A strength class for body and mind. You can read the descriptions of my classes below. The classes are all 45 min long and include a warm up which may include mobility, breath work, core activation and drills related to the main session. FORTIS - A strength class for body and mind

Fortis will improve your strength, flexibility, agility and joint health and leave you feeling connected with your body. Utilising a unique combination of many different strength training techniques (calisthenics, isometrics, gymnastic strength, postural therapy, yoga, pilates and more) I give you a full body workout that brings improved mobility, strength and resilience, allows you to breathe better, decreases stress and leaves you feeling amazing in your body.

 

Run StronG

This class is focused around strength training movements that will help you improve your running through becoming a stronger, faster, more resilient, injury free athlete.  Strength training will also give you performance benefits from improved running economy to delayed muscle fatigue.



Core Strength

This is not just abs!  You can think of your core as a three dimensional cylinder with the diaphragm at the top, pelvic floor muscles at the bottom and abdominal and back muscles wrapping all the way around the sides.  In this class we target all of these muscles using elements from traditional strength training, pilates, gymnastics, yoga, calisthenics and more to bring you overall core strength, improved posture, sexy looking abs and a brilliant foundation for all your other training.



Calisthenics

Beautiful Strength. Develop your strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination with this bodyweight class. We use a variety of whole body movements to achieve bodily fitness and grace of movement. Maximise human power and athletic ability with this class. Each week the class will focus on 3 main calisthenic movements (1 upper body, 1 lower body, 1 core) we build up to each movement with a series of drills and progressions. Moves include handstands, pistol squats, arm balances, dragon squats, dragon flags, l-sits, shrimp squats and more.

 

Who Can Join?

The classes are for everyone!  The classes will be structured for all levels with progressions and regressions where appropriate.  However if you have any medical conditions, injuries, are pre or postnatal or completely new to exercise you must contact me for advice before joining in.

 

What Space and Equipment Do I Need?

In terms of space, all you need an area just a bit bigger than a yoga/fitness mat - enough space to do a 360 with your arms out or a ‘snow angel’.

For most of the sessions you won’t need anything at all however these things will come in handy:

  • A mat

  • A chair

  • Access to wall space

  • A sofa/footstool/sturdy coffee table/step

  • Yoga block/bricks or book

  • A prop for inner thighs e.g. cushion, foam roller, pilates ball (19cm), yoga brick

  • A towel

These items will be helpful for the Run Strong class:

  • Load of any kind - dumbbells/kettlebells/rucksack filled with heavy stuff

  • Foam roller to put feet on

  • Heart rate monitor

 

How Do The Classes Work?

All classes will be on Zoom.  You will just need your phone, tablet, laptop or computer and to install the Zoom app or you can sign in straight from your internet browser.

  1. Book the class through our online booking system below.

  2. You will receive a booking confirmation and an invitation to the class.

  3. To join the ‘meeting’/class click the link in the invitation, you’ll be prompted to run the Zoom app or it will open in your browser.

  4. Turn your audio on so that you can hear me (bottom left of the screen).

  5. Put yourself on mute when you join the class.  There will be a message board you can use if you have any questions during the class.

  6. You can decide whether you do or don’t share your video.  However if you do share your video I will be able to see you and give technique help/encouragement/advice and it can make the experience more fun and interactive!

  7. 10-60 min before the class I will send you an email with any kit required and a reminder link to join the Zoom class.

  8. All the classes are recorded so if you are unable to make the class live I will send you the recording.

 

What If I Can't Make The Class Time?

Classes are recorded and the recording sent out to those that signed up and that want it after the class. The recording is then available for a week afterwards for you to do as much as you like before the next class! You can also download it and save it yourself too.
